Visiting the Transition Hobsons Bay group at the Altona Beach Festival was a real highlight for me and the family.
Such a great group of individuals with a genuine desire to make the world a better place for all.

Here is Mara with the Ground to Ground fridge magnets and the combined THB Ground to Ground postcard. The guys also had a map of where you can find a friendly cafe to collect used coffee grounds.
You can find the THB group website by using this link on their article on how used coffee grounds are in abundance, and it is a great site to check out if you are interested in a pro-active approach to sustainable living with like minded people.
I’m looking forward to working with the guys from THB well into the future. Very pleased to have found them.
On the Transition Hobsons Bay website you will find the following call to arms:
Everyone who wants to make their community more vibrant and resilient is welcome to get involved in Transition Hobsons Bay. Send us an email if you’d like to get involved in a project.. transitionhb@gmail.com

Thanks Maggie. They are doing good work that is for sure. I might not have even noticed the kind of work they are doing a couple of years ago, but the more time I spend in the garden the more I see the kind of difference they are making in their community. It is not always easy doing that, it take courage to keep going.
