There was this little plum tree in the front yard that was no more than a stick in the ground – now 4 seasons later it provides a delicious plum that ripens just a few days before the birds realise!
But not the only fruit at this type of year – the cherries were excellent this Summer.
Fruit trees need a little care but not much it seems to provide a modest crop each season. Good mineralised soil with a liquid seaweed fertiliser works well, along with a few handfuls of coffee grounds a week. Water in the absence of rainfall and eat well when ripe 😀.
