My granny smith tree was planted last year. We pulled all the apples off to give it a chance to establish the roots. This year it started to make SO many apples… I was excited. But the second son went out and pulled them all off… he feels that we should let the trees have two years to REALLY get established.
I’m torn. I applaud his far sightedness but I was really looking forward to eating our own apples this year. (I have a Ballerina apple on the other side of the yard that we planted on the same day… I think it has a couple of apples on it… sssshhh!)LikeLike
