I’m very pleased to report that an article of mine ‘How to Grow Amazing Roses with Coffee Grounds’, has gone live on a leading Green site – Sustainablog.

coffee grounds as a fertilizer for roses

This was fun to write and the roses were beautiful to photograph. They might not be the quality roses you would find at a florist, but that would be missing the point. Read and enjoy the cheap fertilizer!

  2. I have been using roses and coffee grounds for many year with great results. Dry them out first and then sprinkle around the base of the rose, a little each week.

  3. Thanks Shane for helping me get better roses. My grandfather used coffee grounds like this for as long as can remember, and when he died we just didn’t think to do it ourselves. I have a cafe close by that I’m sure would let me reuse coffee grounds for roses. Cheers and many thanks. Ganesh.
