Aquaponics – Growing Plants from Seed

I had heard about aquaponics from some gardening friends and the idea stayed with me long enough to do something about.

I can happily confirm that seeds (parsley in this case), thrown onto a working aquaponics system will germinate.

So bizarre for someone that only knew to plant stuff in dirt – but expanded clay balls will do.

  2. Oh yeah, we are working on a stand alone, off grid system that does not use electricity at all. One of them also provides as a waste, isothermal compressed air that can be used for refrigeration and freezing, airconditioning or many other uses.

    • Yes please do. I have a need to add more grow beds and would love to be able to make them here and not from the other side of the world.
